Gabe Newell confirms a demo is in the works for the co-op zombie game. The game releases on Nov 21st so I’m thinking end of October for the demo. From what I have seen, you need some friends available as this co-op game isn’t going to be a go it alone affair.

Yes,it’s true. The most anticipated Star Wars game in quite some time drops a demo on 360 and PS3 next week. It will be on Live and PSN on Thursday,Aug 21st. It’ll be a level from the game involving a Tie Fighter factory and a battle to find a Jedi General. The ending to the demo is supposed to be different than what is in the game.I can’t wait personally,as this is a day one purchase for myself.

So I downloaded the demo from the PSN store yesterday and put about 4-5 hours off and on into it.Let me say that it’s very hard to put down. Although you can’t really die,it does have one thing most games do not have these days. It has a timer.
You can add time back to it by gathering pieces located throughout the garden. Also, the game isn’t that easy and does require some good platforming skills. It’s a genre that doesn’t really exist much anymore and I’m glad that Q-games shows us that we still need it in this age of FPS and RPG’s.The art style gives off a nice vibe and the music is just relaxing. So,just grab a drink and sit and chill with Eden.
The final retail copy will have youtube uploading, trophies and remote play enabled. But,the demo which seems to be a nice slice of the actual game is very enjoyable.Anything that can take me away from my constant Battlefield:Bad Company matches has got to be interesting right? The actual game goes on sale July 31st for $9.99 and I will be purchasing it as soon as possible.
Too Human Demo:A second look at my review July 23, 2008

It’s not really fair to review a demo,I know.
But,I felt like I needed to look at it again and I just feel like the game has some complaints, but it’s going to be a title you really have to put some time into.Looking at the menu for upgrading your armor, weapons, ablities it’s just a lot of information to dissect.
I still stick to my first impression that the controls just don’t feel good on melee and that the setup scenes on enemies is just not appealing, but I want to spend some time with the full retail game.I also think the scene when you die could be cut or shortened as I don’t care to see it every time.
Dyack has received a lot of flack about this game.I’ve even said in the beginning that I wasn’t enthused about it.I could be wrong about the game and I’m willing to try it out and see what the full retail game entails.

So I downloaded the demo from Xbox Live of Silicon Knights new RPGish Diablo style game Too Human.Let’s get the bad out of the way first.
Bad
The controls for melee attacks just doesn’t feel good. You basically point the stick towards the enemy and it does a auto melee attack.
The controls in general just feel way too disconnected in a way.I feel like I’m not in total control of my character actions.
The enemy encounters are too scripted. There is a setup for each time you encounter the enemy. I would rather be surprised.
Good
It’s aesthetically pleasing.It looks good!
There are more level up menus than the law should allow.RPG fans will go nuts.
The story sounds interesting.
I’ll be checking out the full retail game at a later date to see how well this really translates. There is no other game on 360 like this and it has a lot controversy surrounding it.
Too Human Demo is up! Stand up and be counted..erm wait July 14, 2008

The Too Human Demo hits next week during E3.I’ll try it,but I can’t say I’m so excited about this title.Dennis Dyack has been involved in a battle with Neogaf posters about this title.I encourage you to listen to the 1up yours podcast from last week. They have Dennis on and he explains what his thinking was on calling out commenters on Neogaf.Definitely,a interesting guy to listen to,whether you care about the game or not.
