Galaga Legions is not Geometry Wars that’s for sure.I was excited to purchase GL this week,but after playing it I’m left with a feeling of “Why did I buy this?”. There are two modes in the game and that’s about it.The graphics are definitely pretty,but the gameplay just doesnt feel very good.It’s hard to qualify it,but I don’t get the same feeling that I do when I play Geometry Wars or SuperStardust HD(two fine examples of shooters).
You do get the use of two satellites to help you out.That’s done because without them the game would be impossible. But,the time to set them up to help you is so very short that you can expect to die quite often.I guess sometimes you expect more than you should and this was the case with Galaga Legions.It’s a game I should have passed on.

It keeps making me want to play it to beat people on my friends list.I’m convinced that Pacifism is designed to test the stress limits of a Xbox 360 controller and your patience.I imagine that to be really good at this game you have to be lucky enough to win the lotto three times in a week or have the eye coordination of a Ninja. If you haven’t picked up this game on XBLA,then you should go now and purchase it.You will thank me for the advice and curse me for the hours that you waste.

I’m going to be picking this up Wednesday.It’s a redo of the original Galaga and XBLA has been flush with some good titles lately.That’ll be my third XBLA title this month.Good show guys.

Bionic Commando Rearmed is up on XBLA marketplace for 800MS.If you have a Japanese PSN account,you can download the demo for PS3(it’s in English).I’m presuming a demo will be available for the game tomorrow on the NA PSN store.

Bionic Commando Rearmed comes to XBLA this Wednesday.It’ll cost you 800 MS points.Not sure which version I’m getting yet (PS3 or 360).The D pad is better on the PS3 and there is remote play and trophies will be retroactively patched. Hard decision!

I’ve been playing Geometry Wars Retro Evolved 2 for a while now and it’s a excellent game.I wasn’t very happy with the first one due to the limited modes and it felt much more difficult than it had to be.I’m not terrible at shooters by the way 
. I’m not sure what Bizzare did,but it’s just feels a lot better in the control aspect.I’ve managed to get all but 3 achievements so far and I’m really enjoying it.I suggest trying out the demo for a taste,but the full version has 6 modes in all.Pacifism is by far the hardest in my book.You have to avoid the geometric shapes while trying to fly though floating gates that will kill you if you hit the end of them. You can’t fire your weapon at all either.Just be prepared to get very aggrivated.

Yes,it’s 1942 redone for the next gen consoles.Comes out today on XBLA and tomorrow on PSN.It’s five levels and pretty tough from what I hear. No trophies on PSN though and that’s sad

Everybody and their mother knows that Square Enix is making FFX111 for 360 now.It’s only being made in English territories and not being released in Japan on 360.I’m guessing that has to do with Microsoft’s terrible 360 sales in Japan. No way this was a surprise for the Sony inner circle,but definitely a blow to the Final Fantasy PS3 fans. Is it the death of Sony? No. Today is Sony’s chance to make it up,so we’ll see.Personally,I do not care as I’m not a big fan of JRPGs and these days,exclusives are going the way of the dinosaur unless you are owned by that console maker.
Halo Wars slips to 09.Not really a surprise,but it’s looking better.I may be interested.
Lips is a Singstaresque game that will incorporate your own music that you can sing along with.Interesting
The 360 is getting a dashboard change in the fall with new functions such as Wii Mii like Avatars,Photos,party system.Impressive!!
Bethesdas(my boys!)title Fallout 3 will have exclusive 360 DLC.(I’m a little sad as I wanted to pick this up on PS3)
Gears of War still on 2 player co-op,but 5 player MP online.
